Cultural Center for the Arts (1001 Market Ave N) People can experience “Illumination” in lots of ways: in their cars, walking around, standing in marked off areas.
At the Cultural Center there will be three installations. a) Great Court (14,000 square feet indoors) will feature seven light sculptures, video mapping by Megan Wanderer, and the Genius Lab “touch free” art and light experiments. b) Cable Hall (8,000 square feet) will host a total Immersive Light Experience by OBLSK with video mapping of three walls and syncopated soundtrack. C) The Plaza (18,000 square feet) outdoors) will present a giant video mapping of Cultural Center’s main entrance also by OBLSK. The Illumination Genius Lab will have multiple touchless activities for your family to enjoy! Make glow in the dark lava bags to take home, learn new skills in our jumbo shadow hand puppet theatre, enter our star tent to see how many hidden constellations you can locate, and take an official Illumination photo to share your fun on social media!
Check out the other Illumination installations: Hall of Fame City Ice Rink, Visit Canton, Buzzbin, Arrowhead Vintage, Centennial Plaza, Julz, and Vital Arts.
